ELEVATOR TO MEZZANINE (Steven Warwick and DeForrest Brown)
Plaza Del Dante - An Exhibition
Opening Sunday, November 25 at 4PM
November 25–December 2, 2018

Invited by Kate Brown and Maurin Dietrich

Elevator to Mezzanine (E-M) constructs a situation in which several icons are seated at a dinner table. But what will they say? Who has invited them? The mood is revelatory in Wyoming... Tensions simmer, food is served, people are reading....

E-M will also be presenting a video, "The War on Style," at the opening on Sunday, November 25; they will stage a discussion on the subject of cancellation with Caroline Busta from New Models at the closing on Sunday, December 2.

Performing America (Iconic America) – A Play takes place concurrently at Pogo Bar at KW - Institute for Contemporary Art on Thursday, November 29.

Elevator to Mezzanine (E-M) is a cataloguing space and writing project established in 2017 by Steven Warwick & DeForrest Brown Jr. and proposes itself as a “War on Style.” They have previously exhibited at Cleopatra’s in NYC and published two booklets through Issue Project Room and Lampo Chicago. In March this year, they gave an artist talk at the University of Rochester NY.
